Holistic Nutrition & Why you need this to achieve Steller Skin!
Hey there! My name is Amanda, I am a certified Holistic Nutritionist and Health Coach. I really grew to love holistic nutrition and natural treatment methods to heal the human body a few years ago.
Like many of you, I struggled with skin issues like hormonal acne on my chin, oily skin, large pores, dry skin, eczema. The list honestly goes on! I spent years trying to treat my skin and the different skin issues, topically with every cream, lotion, acne spot treatment, serum and any other facial concoction I could get my hands on.
Yes some things worked temporarily, but often I was left with the same issues and spending WAY too much money on skincare.
I am here to teach and inspire you how to treat the entire human body as a whole system and heal all your systems from within, in return you will be left with beautiful skin and feeling your best!
Often skin issues are an external sign that there is a deeper rooted issue going on in our body. For example, I only found out a few years ago that I am actually lactose intolerant! So my body was having a hard time digesting lactose and this can actually increase my risk of inflammation and acne issues. Once I switched to a non dairy solution, my gut started feeling better and in turn my acne started to tame down a bit. Food intolerance’s are something we don’t often think about until we start to notice physical other signs and symptoms in or on our bodies.
Women have many hormone fluctuations to deal with as well with all our different cycles, this can also cause an increase in sebum production, again leading to breakouts. Lifestyles, poor diets, stress, lack of good quality sleep can also all lead to skin issues and other body system issues.
So my goal with starting this blog is for it to be a place to educate, inspire and create a community of positivity around holistic health & nutrition. How the foods we eat are truly nature’s medicine. I am excited to touch on many topics like what to eat for great skin, detoxing, vitamins and minerals, supplementation.
I am also well educated on proper skincare ingredients , how to use them, what they are, what order to apply to our faces and much more! I have learned a lot over the last few years through experience and my nutrition studies. I am excited to share all my new found knowledge with you!!
